Cookies and browser storage

Updated 12 September 2026

1. Necessary technologies

After sign-in, TellJar uses a necessary HttpOnly/Secure/SameSite session cookie. Browser storage may be used for interface preferences, non-invasive return-visit UX, selected language, sound, country or an in-progress payment state. These mechanisms support service operation and security.

2. Advertising and analytics

If AdSense is active, Google and advertising partners may use cookies, IP addresses, device signals and similar technologies according to the visitor's choices. See how Google uses data from partner sites and apps.

TellJar may load Google AdSense for users without active Ad-free access when ad serving is available. The main app does not load ad code for signed-in accounts with Ad-free access. Technologies requiring consent are used according to the user's choice and regional requirements.

3. EEA, UK and Switzerland

If Google AdSense is enabled, users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will be shown a consent-management mechanism compatible with Google's publisher requirements. Personalised advertising will not be enabled without the required consent.

4. Changing a decision

After technologies that require consent are enabled, TellJar will provide a visible way to reopen privacy settings and change or withdraw consent.
